Is Your Sunscreen Safe and Effective?
Your sunscreen may protect you from sunburn, but not from harmful rays that can
cause skin aging and cancer, and it may even contain ingredients that are unsafe.
A new, ground-breaking study by independent researchers reveals that only 17%
of the products on the market are both safe and effective.
A small non-profit, the Environmental Working Group (EWG) did a comprehensive,
scientific investigation of 786 sunscreen products because the FDA doesn't
require companies to test their own products for safety. You'll be dismayed at
the brand names you recognize on the "worst" list.

Self-Transformation
We all have a choice - stay the same or change and grow. Given adverse
circumstances, we have a strong motivation to change ourselves, our attitudes
and beliefs, jobs, friends, associates, hairstyle, exercise program, diet...
the list is endless. We can choose new and better habits or go down a dark path
of self-destructive behaviors. Most of us fumble around trying one thing after
another, attempting to escape pain or to heal from a physical or emotional wound.
For me, my path to healing was through the body - massage, yoga, energy healing,
singing, and body-centered psychotherapy. Touch was a gift for reconnection
with my true nature, and my body was the route to inner peace and spiritual
growth. Women's spirituality is a tradition of being in the body and connected
to the earth. Through our bodies and our breath we can achieve transcendence
over the mundane world and our small selves.
Consider what calls you to yourself and a path of peace and inner calm.
Have patience and be gentle with yourself and others.
Practice the art of compassionate living.
Namaste,
Honor the Light Within,

sense yoga deals with mind, body, spirit, and one's relation to the world....."

Yoga as Self-Transformation
by Joel Kramer
"For thousands of years, yoga has been a tool to open the mind and body,
bringing transformation. At its core, yoga is a process that involves confronting
your limits and transcending them. It is a psychophysical approach to life and
to self-understanding that can be creatively adapted to the needs of the
times...."
